NMMA updates schedule for first boat shows


The National Marine Manufacturers Association announced in a statement that it has made additional changes to its 2021 show season.

In addition, the NMMA postponed the Progressive Insurance Atlantic City Boat Show until April 7-11. It was scheduled for February 24-28. The association said it will continue to monitor the pandemic in the Atlantic City area to ensure the event can go ahead safely.

“These decisions are the result of ongoing conversations with exhibitors, health officials, venue operators and other stakeholders to produce safe, successful and high-quality consumer experiences with health and safety in mind. for everyone involved,” NMMA President Frank Hugelmeyer said. said in the statement.

“While we have determined that most of our events in early 2021 are not viable to produce,” he added, “we understand that boat shows play a vital role in showcasing new products and generation of sales for our industry, and we are committed to resuming our full range of boat shows as soon as possible.

NMMA said it plans to resume its entire boat show schedule in September.
