The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS), the region’s first nautical event since the pandemic, got off to an impressive start on Wednesday.

“No one in the region has organized a boat show since the start of the pandemic. We are the first, ”said Saeed Al Mansoori, event organizer. Khaleej Times.

Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of the Frontline Heroes Office, opened the four-day event at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (Adnec).

Al Mansoori pointed out that the series has made a comeback after a one-year hiatus.

“The feedback I have received from visitors, guests and other seniors has been very positive,” said the CEO of Capital Events.

He pointed out that products made in the UAE accounted for 43% of all brands.

“The presence of local produce shows just how strong the industry is here in the UAE.”

Al Mansoori noted that other highlights of the show are new exhibitors, which account for up to 43%, as well as product launches.

“The new exhibitors are here with their new products which reflect the fact that newcomers are drawn to the show. Then you have the product launch. There are products that are exclusively launched here for the first time in the region. We have companies from Switzerland, France and others who are launching new items, which have not been seen in the Middle East, ”Al Mansoori said and added:“ Overall the comments have been very positive. We look forward to the next edition in October 2022.

The show runs until Saturday.
